Twenty‑Two is committed to widening access to learning and employment, recognising that true inclusion is still out of reach for many. Over the past three years, we’ve strengthened our role in creating fairer career pathways by partnering with local organisations, offering work experience placements through the Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal (HOP), and signing up to the HOP Pledge to support people in gaining skills, qualifications and paid opportunities.
Our team plays an active role in helping young people prepare for the world of work by taking part in school mock‑interview days and careers fairs across Hertfordshire. These events give students the chance to practise real interview scenarios, explore different career pathways and build confidence in their own abilities.
We’re proud to support the next generation of young professionals by having offered T‑Level industry placements to students from Oaklands College. These placements give young people the chance to apply their classroom learning in a real working environment, build confidence and develop the practical skills employers look for. By opening our doors to T‑Level students, we’re helping to strengthen local talent pathways and ensure learners gain meaningful experience that prepares them for future careers.
As Enterprise Advisers for a school in St Albans, we support the national Careers & Enterprise Company programme, helping to connect education with the world of work. Working through Hertfordshire Futures and Services for Young People, we collaborate with Careers Leaders, local employers and the Hertfordshire Careers Hub to strengthen careers education across the county. We also align our work with the Employer Standards for careers education, using the framework to plan meaningful engagement, ask the right questions and ensure our support is effective for young people.
